Add a client
To add a new client, open the Client List and click on the Create button on the top right.
Add the client's name and birthday and click Proceed.
Form fields​
Start Date​
The date the calculations start to run.
- By default, this is the day the client is created
- Can be any date in the past or future
- This is useful for adjusting the calculations to a date closer to the client's birthday
- Must be greater than
birthday - No transactions can be created at an earlier date

Main client​
Birthday​
Most ages displayed in the app are related to the main client.
- Transactions
- Retirment Income
- Tables
Retirement age​
The age at which the client will retire, or has retired.
- No retirement transactions can be created at a date earlier than the earliest of when one of the clients (main/partner) retire
- Has no effect on the NZ Super qualifying age (which is always 65)
Partner​
Partner data is used for:
- Partner's Salary Income entries
- NZ Super automatic calculations
- Retirment Income data input and tables

Always leave Has Partner unchecked for clients that are single.
Portfolio​
Select one of the global portfolios or add a custom one.
Editing any of the entries you automatically create a custom portfolio. This can be undone by selecting a portfolio again.
Changes are only saved after clicking Save.
Inflation Rate​
The rate to be applied when adjusting future values.
Use global inflation​
Check this if the client's calculations should always use the global inflation rate.
Set it to false to be able to use a specific inflation rate for this client.
Automatically calculate NZ Super​
Check this to automatically add NZ Super proceedings to the client's income during retirement.

Save​
The client is only created when you click the Save button.
Discard​
To discard your changes, you can navigate back or click on the sidebar and your changes won't be saved.
